Blackthorn designed for wallpaper by J.H. Dearle in 1892 was first adapted for machine printed fabric in 1975 by Sanderson and became hugely popular. Todays versions are reproduced in authentic colours matching the original wallpaper samples and the mottled appearance gives the fabric a hand printed look. Shown here in shades of purple, blue, beige, yellow and green. The Blackthorn wallpaper would make an alluring feature wall, or use the repeating patterns to cover an entire room. This wallpaper is part of the Morris Wallpapers Compendium I & II wallpapers collection. Application Method: paste the wallpaper and then apply. Pattern match: Straight match. Vertical repeat: 61cm.
